Community as a Collaboration tool.
Our rebrand is the highlight of the day.

As a Nigerian, feeling a sense of community isn’t a new feeling to me; right from when my mum would celebrate my birthdays by opening our gates to everyone on the street to celebrate with me. I felt a sense of community when my friend’s parents, particularly their mums, would come for visiting days and ask to see me, extending a black nylon bag filled with provisions and a cooler of jollof rice in secondary school.
As I grew older, Communities have taken different shapes and forms, as a means to network and connect with individuals from different spheres of life. It is a safe haven and a space with people who understand how life can be as an adult, how capitalism is such a shitty concept, and how it is constantly kicking your ass.
In the past year, SECTIONS members have enjoyed all of these perks and in a bid to create a more consistent experience across all platforms, we decided to rebrand. Our new logo captures the essence of support and collaboration that the community is built on and from our last hangout, we are more convinced about our role in championing a feeling of what a community should feel like.
Our new logo: what do you see?
This rebrand is as a result of how designers have been able to develop and nurture relationships that has fueled both personal and collective growth in the community.
