Do you ever daydream that you wish it were your reality, but after a few seconds, you realize that you were merely dreaming about what could be or could have been?
If you are like me and you are visually imaginative, you already imagined the beginning, and the end; you daydreamed about the plot, characters, your actions, and reactions already, but then you make a mental note that, realistically, it is not possible to have it figured out that way.
“Mehn! What a perfect imagination, but then…”
There is no “But” except the ones you make for yourself.
You believe it is possible to overthink but not possible to overdo it to get your desired result.
Come off it!
We often think that after setting a goal, our progress should be linear, we should get it right in a number of days or on a first or second trial. What we realize to see is that it takes resilience, persistence, hard work and overcoming any self-doubt to achieve this goal. No one got it right on first trial, that is why we all go through the Beginner phase before becoming an Expert
I came across this image on Instagram and it sums up how Progress is more like a journey through different spirals.
I hope you exercise Patience with yourself this week as you go about learning that skill, or showing up at work and remember your dreams are always valid!
